photoblog image Light up Nigeria 2

Light up Nigeria 2

Back to my photojournalism. This photograph was taken on the Kaduna-Abuja expressway in Nigeria. The bad roads and dangerous vehicles are problems on their own that cause loss of life and also destruction of  already hard to maintain infrastructure. It is like a 360 degree circle. The roads cause accidents, some fatal; the fire burns the overhead electrical cables that hardly supply electricity which in turn gives corrupt officials reasons to take more of our hard earned taxes to supply replacements that take years to implement and ultimately leads to more suffering for the average Nigerian. We need to support the cause to Light Up Nigeria in so many different ways. Derelict infrastructure causes a ripple effect in our suffering economy.  Sent this to CNN iReport.

Sad situation well captured
@LightUpNigeria, wrote something on my blog Omelette some days ago. Have a look at it. The clarity of the picture is superb and it looks like soething out of the movies.
